Amanda Baker, LCSW
Executive Director
Amanda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15+ years of experience in crisis intervention and homeless outreach. She specializes in trauma-informed care, focusing on mental health crisis response and human trafficking. She is a fierce advocate for vulnerable populations and is passionate about equipping the Church to care for and love people well.
Before coming to West Fort Worth Center of Hope, Amanda worked for over a decade as a mental health first responder and supervisor in Washington, DC, honing her skills in handling high-stress situations with compassion and effectiveness. Her commitment to mental health extends beyond borders, having worked in international settings such as South Africa, Thailand, Mexico, and Greece.
Amanda holds a BA in History, a BSW, an MSSW from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Certificate in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery from Harvard University.
A North Texas native, Amanda is happy to live in Texas again and be close to her family. Outside work, she loves spending time with her dog, Desi, and fiancé, Josh, traveling, eating Tex-Mex and Middle Eastern food, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, and exploring all that Fort Worth has to offer!
